She stood in one of the beautiful fields at the Hased House in Heyworth. She was wearing the dress she dreamt of since she was a little girl. Sean stood in front of her, turned around, just moments before he finally sees her.
For Joanna and myself, one of our favorite moments at any wedding will always be when our couples share a first look. This one was different, this one was very special to us. We have known Canady for many years. We have seen the happy times, but we have also seen the struggles and the obstacles life has thrown at her. Canady is a warrior of a woman, pivoting at every single thing life has thrown at her. At times this moment seemed like it was always going to be a fantasy, a dream that would just never come true.
That moment, where the man who was meant to protect her, take care of her, be her best friend, is standing before her on her wedding day. That isn’t a far distant dream, it was now reality. Each tear that fell from Canady’s face, you know what is behind each and every one. That struggle to find Sean, and the confirmation Sean continually gives her that she really does deserve the best life, together.
You could not ask for a better setting for this fall wedding. The Hesed House has some of the most gorgeous fields and backdrops for photos you will find anywhere in Illinois. The fall colors were just exploding off the trees! We were gifted with mild temps for this late October wedding, which gave Canady and Sean an absolutely beautiful ceremony.
Ok can’t forget about talking about the venue itself, you guys this venue is in Heyworth, Illinois! I would expect to find this venue down in Austin Texas. It is modern luxury with a little bit of that Illinois country flare. The chandeliers light up the entry way beautifully and every single person you meet on staff just makes you feel like family.
Canady and Sean. It has been so amazing to watch you both grow together and see your story unfold. We are both so honored to not only call you a JB couple, but our friends. Congratulations you guys, we are so excited to see what life brings!
