You guys! We are so excited that such a dear friend of ours is our first official blog post! I met Allison several years ago when she was a student at Illinois State University. We worked together as nursing assistants, Allison attended our wedding, and shortly after started hanging out with Brett and I. We were practically neighbors. I remember the night I told her I was pregnant. She burst into tears and just cried on my couch, which of course made me cry.
Allison quickly becomes one of my dearest friends. She threw me the sweetest baby shower and came with me to dr. appointments. She visited with Dalton after Everly was born and I remember her coming into the NICU. I just can’t believe how in love she was with our special little girl. We have shared so many late night FaceTime chats and texting about anything and everything! Watching her graduate and become a teacher has been so amazing! She was made to be a teacher and pour into the lives of her sweet students.
This year has gone by so fast and we can’t wait for their special day next year! Allerton Park was such an obvious choice for pictures! It’s such a timeless/classic place and has such romantic tones. This will always be one of our all time favorite venues to photograph at. While the weather was a bit more humid/sticky then we were hoping we had such a blast.
Dalton was so attentive to Allison and kept whispering the sweetest little things into her ear. A few times I caught Allison fighting tears. She’s waited so long for these moments and Sunday it was finally her turn! I sometimes get giddy when I look back and realize how much fun we have just getting to watch our couples interact and cuddle with each other. Allison and Dalton, you guys did such an amazing job, we are so excited for both of you to tie the knot next June!!
